Senior Anita Rivera of Temescal Canyon has made a verbal committment to Oregon State University. Last week the 6'1" guard made an unofficial trip to the Corvallis campus and made trips to the University of Pacific as well as Long Beach State and said she just "felt right at home".

Rivera @ UCRRivera, a second team All CIF pick during her junior year, had also made unofficial trips to San Diego State, the University of Washington, UCLA and the University of New Mexico before finally deciding to become one of the newest Lady Beavers.

Senior guard Casey Bunn out of Oregon made an unofficial trip to OSU on the same weekend Rivera did and made a committment while she was there.

Rivera, along with her Pass & Shoot teammates, made her first trip to the campus in early July before the start of the End of the Trails tournament in Oregon City. She toured the campus and met with the coaching staff and liked that it was a small campus where she wouldn't get lost trying to find her way around.

"I'm real excited about it", said Rivera. "It's going to be fun playing there for four years. All the girls are nice there and I just love the coaching staff there. I'm sure they are going to push me to be the best player I possibly can be."
